After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor I booked my class by email. As a single woman I was a bit apprehensive about doing this on my own, but all fears vanished when Wayan picked me up and greeted me with his wonderful smile. We were first introduced to all our other participants from around the world and toured the market, learning all about the different foods, vegetables, meat and spices
We were transported in an air conditioned vehicle from the market to the rice fields, where Wayan explained some of the history of the rice in Bali and the canal system to irrigate the rice fields….. along with the day to day operation and the management of the fields.

We were introduced to the different ingredients for each dish that “we” would be preparing……..chopping, grinding and stirring ………which made the most amazing Indonesian meal that one could ever dream about.
Puspa and Wayan make one feel so comfortable in their home……. from the first thirst quenching drink to the last cup of tea or coffee….
I enjoyed the cooking course so much that I booked another class for the next week before the end of my vacation….don’t worry about taking notes as they provide a nice booklet with all the recipes in it.
This is a must to do ………..and when I return to Bali, I will do the course again.
